An update regarding the Coronavirus
4/30/2020
|
We would like to reach out to all of you, our valued patients, regarding the current Coronavirus outbreak and assure you that your health and safety, as well as that of our staff members, is our top priority. As of 3/23/2020, our office will be closed for all non-urgent patient care. We will continue to evaluate the ongoing climate and plan to resume our normal schedule of care in two weeks, beginning 4/6/2020. As of 4/6/2020, we continue to follow State and Federal guidelines and our office remains closed indefinitely, as we continue to monitor the ongoing crisis on a day to day basis. As of 5/1/2020, we will begin to see patients again, but it is far from business as usual. Anyone entering the office will need an appointment so that we can limit the number of people in contact with us and each other. Everybody entering the office will be required to wear a face mask. If you do not have your own, one will be provided for you. We will also be screening anybody that has an appointment for any symptoms related to Coronavirus and taking temperatures prior to allowing entry into the office. Anyone that has any symptoms, is not feeling well or fails to meet the screening criteria will be asked to reschedule their appointment. We are taking this crisis very seriously and want to make sure that you feel safe and protected if you are visiting our office. We will continue to see those with urgent and emergent care needs. We will also be available for pick up of your eye wear. We ask that you call us when you arrive at our office and a staff member will deliver your eyeglasses or contact lenses to a designated area outside of our office. We will be extending expiration dates on prescriptions when appropriate in order to accommodate your vision needs until we can get you scheduled or rescheduled for your ongoing care. Please let us know if you would prefer to have your eyeglasses or contact lenses delivered to you by mail rather than coming to the office to pick up your eye wear. We will all work together to keep you healthy and look forward to seeing you soon. Scott Haugen, OD |
